Principal Technical Authority - Networking Requirements (Cybersecurity)
About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Technical Authority and Lead Specialist for Networking Requirements to join our team in the Cybersecurity domain. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to lead advanced technical management of networking requirements for critical systems and applications. As a Principal Technical Authority, you will play a vital role in supporting the mission of the U.S. Cyber Command.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the principal technical authority and lead specialist for networking requirements, ensuring effective and economical management of networking services.
- Develop and apply policies, processes, and strategies for delivering multi-discipline IT networking services.
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of emerging technologies and enterprise IT architecture to achieve data integration and system interoperability.
- Apply expert knowledge of network architecture, WAN/LAN design, and diagnostics to solve complex operational problems.
- Prepare and present analyses and briefings to DOD and DISA management on technological developments that enhance efficiency.
- Lead major network projects, including re-establishing connectivity for relocated employees and implementing telecommunications support.
- Test, install, configure, and maintain networks, including hardware such as servers, switches, and routers.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a favorable suitability review and security clearance.
- Experience in reviewing IT-related work for accuracy and consistency.
- Strong customer service skills, maintaining relationships with clients and assessing their IT needs.
- Excellent oral communication skills for briefing management and IT staff.
- Proven problem-solving abilities to address complex IT issues.
- At least one year of experience in employing emerging IT technology or leading network projects.
- Ability to prepare and present cohesive analyses and briefings to leadership.
Nice to Have
- Experience with telecommunications and network project management.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance.
- Knowledge of cloud networking solutions.
