Principal Strategic Analyst - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Strategic Analyst remote to join PG&E’s Strategy and Innovation organization. This role is pivotal in shaping the long-term direction of our electric and gas utility business as the industry undergoes rapid transformation. As a Principal Strategic Analyst remote, you will tackle complex challenges, from grid modernization to regulatory strategy, while collaborating with leaders across various departments.

What You'll Do

• Engage with cross-functional teams to collect and communicate strategic findings that guide strategy development across the organization.
• Analyze financial, operational, customer, and market data to identify performance trends and opportunities relevant to PG&E’s strategy.
• Develop new process designs to address strategic opportunities identified by the team.
• Facilitate strategic initiatives by guiding the strategy development and planning process.
• Mentor and train coworkers on quantitative tools and concepts to enhance their understanding of emerging best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or related fields.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive job-related experience.
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High degree of emotional intelligence for effective collaboration at the executive level.
• Exceptional Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills.

Nice to Have

• Master’s in Business Administration.
• Experience in management or strategy consulting.
• Applicable experience in the utility, oil and gas, or renewables industries.
