About the Role

Anduril Industries is seeking a talented Principal Motion Designer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the defense technology sector, where you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity of our brand. As a Principal Motion Designer remote, you will be responsible for developing kinetic visual narratives that connect our mission with our audience.

What You'll Do

• Lead the visual development of kinetic text and motion graphics, creating animations that utilize both 2D and 3D assets.
• Conceptualize and create style frames and storyboards that effectively communicate narratives.
• Steer the development of innovative visualization techniques and styles.
• Provide clear and constructive feedback during design critiques to enhance team output.
• Contribute to daily design inspiration and discussions, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Evolve and oversee design explorations and style guides to maintain brand consistency.
• Stay updated with industry-standard workflows, processes, and tools to ensure our designs are cutting-edge.
• Collaborate with producers, design leads, and various departments including marketing and communications.

Requirements

• Minimum 7-8 years of professional experience in Motion Design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a variety of animation techniques and the ability to transform complex ideas into compelling visual narratives.
• Deep understanding of design fundamentals such as form, color, composition, and typography.
• Technical fluency in 2D and 3D software of your choice.
• A collaborative team player with a unique sense of aesthetics and a passion for bringing concepts to life.
• Must work on-site in Costa Mesa, CA.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.

• Experience with AI-driven design tools and technologies.
