PLC Controls Engineer - Remote Opportunities Available
About the Role

What You'll Do
- Provide expertise and supervision in process control programming functions.
- Perform maintenance on existing systems, including software backups and validity checks on program logic.
- Prepare documentation of developed programs according to accepted standards.
- Collaborate with IT to create databases for improved process capability.
- Develop new business proposals and execute capital projects.
- Design panels, layouts, and wiring schematics as required.
- Develop training modules to assist maintenance teams in troubleshooting process equipment.
- Analyze current systems and develop strategies for future growth and productivity gains.
Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Process Engineering.
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages, preferably Allen Bradley and GE Fanuc.
- Experience with HMI programming and configuration, including Wonderware and Rockwell Software.
- Good knowledge of Oracle Databases and industrial instrumentation.
- Working knowledge of motors, drives, and field devices.
- Ability to read and red-line P&ID drawings.
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs and work in a warm/hot plant environment.
- Compliance with ITAR and/or EAR regulations is required.
Nice to Have
- Experience in ladder logic programming related to process automation.
- Strong analytical skills for technical process-related data.
- Familiarity with electrical engineering practices.
