Plate Engineering Lead - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Plate Engineering Lead to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for executing Plate-driven projects in collaboration with Plate Maintenance groups, ensuring consistency and quality in project execution. This is an exciting opportunity to lead engineering efforts and drive improvements in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Safely execute projects on schedule and within budget as a Plate Engineering Lead.
- Develop and maintain the overall APU capital plan with assistance from various plant and APU resources.
- Oversee the APU capital project portfolio and ensure completion of improvement activities for key cost centers.
- Drive job planning with APU resources to enhance equipment reliability and capacity.
- Review all formal Request for Appropriation capital funding requests for accuracy and compliance with plant requirements.
- Supervise APU and third-party engineering teams for APU projects and activities.
- Train and develop subordinates to improve employee performance and KPI metrics.
- Establish a capital project portfolio, resource requirements, and engineering workload assignments for the PAU Engineering Group.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 10 years of experience in Maintenance, Engineering, or Reliability Plant Engineering projects.
- Experience and knowledge of operating departments.
- Strong background in industrial automation, including PLCs and HMI systems.
- Preferred experience with system integration, control logic development, and troubleshooting of automated equipment.
- Experience with energy management systems and utility optimization is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Advanced knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering disciplines.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
