PIE Engineer - Remote Opportunity at HID

About the Role

We are excited to announce an amazing opportunity for a PIE Engineer remote position at HID. As a PIE Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting HID’s success by overseeing New Product Introduction (NPI) and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI). This role is essential for transferring NPI by setting up the Bill of Materials (BOM), product specifications, and manufacturing drawings. What You'll Do

• Own the New Product Introduction (NPI) process from start to finish for SPO and sustaining projects.
• Support NPI for new projects, collaborating with the Product Design Engineering team and other Manufacturing Engineering teams.
• Initiate project management activities to ensure timely project completion.
• Review initial drawings and specifications, highlighting any concerns early in the project.
• Coordinate feasibility sample builds and compile product/sample qualification reports.
• Ensure effective process evaluation and data availability before mass production.
• Set up BOM and manufacturing details in a fast-paced environment.
• Work with cross-functional teams to optimize process solutions and ensure product design requirements are met.

Requirements

• A degree in Engineering (Electrical/Manufacturing) or a diploma with 2-3 years of experience as a product engineer.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
• Basic understanding of Adobe Illustrator and RFID technology is advantageous.
• Experience with project monitoring tools like MS Project or Gantt Chart.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and OSHA regulations.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Oracle and Agile systems.
• Experience in the IoT field.
• Ability to use Minitab for data analysis.
