Payroll Specialist - Global FinTech

About the Role

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist remote to join our team at Ebury, a leading global FinTech company. In this role, you will be the technical and operational heart of the employee experience, ensuring our global team of over 1,700 professionals across more than 29 markets is paid accurately, compliantly, and on time. What You'll Do

• End-to-end processing of bi-monthly and monthly payrolls as part of a small team.
• Analyze and document each country’s control framework and payroll processing guidance.
• Provide ad hoc project support as needed.
• Manage relationships with various stakeholders (i.e., Finance, HR, etc.) and the payroll provider to ensure end-to-end process excellence.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
• Perform reconciliations and audit tasks for monthly payrolls.
• Stay up to date with local payroll regulations.
• Support Finance teams with month-end close and reporting activities.
• Regularly review payroll processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Attend to all escalated and critical payroll-related issues promptly.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience processing payroll across multiple countries.
• Experience working with a global payroll provider/system, preferably CloudPay.
• Ability to take ownership of payroll processes with a problem-solving mindset and positive attitude.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other formulas).

Nice to Have

• Experience in a fast-paced FinTech environment.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
• Familiarity with payroll compliance in various countries.
