About the Role

Silvaco is seeking talented and motivated interns to join our team as an Optics & Electromagnetics Intern - Remote. This internship offers hands-on experience with state-of-the-art computational lithography tools and workflows, providing exposure to model calibration, mask optimization, and large-scale proximity pattern correction (PPC). As an Optics & Electromagnetics Intern, you'll gain practical skills working with wafers and data-driven simulations while contributing to innovative projects in the semiconductor industry.

What You'll Do

  • Work with advanced computational lithography tools and workflows.
  • Gain experience with GPU-accelerated software and apply GPU acceleration in intensity calculations.
  • Participate in training using Silvaco acuWafer and acuView workbench.
  • Learn about model calibration and mask optimization processes.
  • Enhance the acuWafer QA suite through practical applications.
  • Conduct literature studies on EUVL and rigorous mask simulation techniques.
  • Collaborate with a team of experts in optics and electromagnetics.
  • Develop programming skills in C++, TCL, and Python.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Good knowledge of optics, electromagnetics, and optimization concepts.
  • Experience with GPU development using CUDA libraries.
  • Strong programming skills in C++, TCL, and Python.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

  • Previous internship experience in a related field.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of data-driven simulations and modeling.
