NOC Technician - Remote Support for Space Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled NOC (Network Operations Centre) Technician to join our team at Serco Space Services, supporting critical space operations. This NOC Technician role offers the unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the smooth operation of space missions while providing remote support. As a NOC Technician, you will play a vital role in liaising with spacecraft and mission operations engineers, ensuring efficient resource utilization and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate operational support activities, ensuring seamless execution of scheduled tasks.
• Monitor IT systems and networks, responding to anomalies and outages promptly.
• Act as the first point of contact for users, providing troubleshooting and support.
• Maintain detailed logs of operational activities and incidents.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of IT networking, including WAN/LAN concepts.
• Proficiency in PC literacy, including MS Office products.
• Ability to perform first-line fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Availability to work in 24/7 shifts.

Nice To Have

• Experience with remote operations of satellite ground stations.
• Knowledge of ITSM tools and ITIL framework.
• Familiarity with Unix, Cisco, and network troubleshooting tools.
