Network Operations Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Network Operations Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical network operational support and production engineering projects within large institutions or banks. As a Network Operations Engineer remote, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability and performance of the network infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Provide operational support for network systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Utilize multi-vendor firewall platforms such as Fortigate, Cisco ASA, and Cisco Tetration.
• Implement and manage remote access technologies including Cisco AnyConnect and Zscaler.
• Conduct DNS/DHCP management using Infoblox and load balancing with F5 and VMWare.
• Perform packet analysis and troubleshooting using tools like tcpdump and Wireshark.
• Engage in network programming and automation using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Work on alternative weekends with two days off in the following week.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Network Operations Engineer remote.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and SSL troubleshooting.
• Experience with network virtualization and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Saltstack.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

• Certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).
• Experience with open networking technologies.
• Knowledge of network security best practices.
