About the Role

We are seeking a Movies and TV News Editor - Remote to join our dynamic team at Comic Book Resources (CBR). This is a paid freelance position for an experienced editor who is passionate about Movies and TV. As a Movies and TV News Editor, you will edit and publish news articles daily, ensuring that our content meets the highest standards. You will oversee and facilitate writer communication using tools like Slack and Asana, providing constructive feedback to writers according to CBR's standards.

What You'll Do

• Edit and publish daily news articles related to Movies and TV.
• Oversee writer communication in Slack and Asana.
• Provide feedback to writers to help them improve their skills.
• Work with new writers to develop their abilities in writing and editing.
• Ensure all content is aligned with CBR's standards and guidelines.
• Maintain a broad knowledge of movies, TV, comics, and gaming to inform editorial decisions.
• Work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and writers.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in senior writing and editing roles.
• Strong understanding of news content and the entertainment industry.
• Excellent command of the English language with the ability to write error-free articles.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a quick learner.
