Motion Graphics Design Intern - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are excited to offer a paid internship for a Motion Graphics Design Intern to join Bonneville Communications. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the marketing services industry while working remotely and part in-office in Salt Lake City, Utah. The internship will run from May 12, 2026, to August 14, 2026, allowing you to immerse yourself in a creative environment where you can develop your skills and contribute to meaningful projects.
What You'll Do
- Assist in creating engaging motion graphics for various platforms, including explainers, gifs, display ads, and social media posts.
- Animate illustrations and designs primarily using Adobe After Effects.
- Develop visual concepts to effectively communicate ideas and messages.
- Storyboard visual concepts to outline animation sequences.
- Design and illustrate artwork for animations, ensuring high-quality visuals.
- Create animatics to visualize the flow of animations.
- Animate characters and typography to enhance storytelling.
- Collaborate with third-party contractors on animation pre and post-production processes.
Requirements
- Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree in advertising, communications, graphic/motion design, or a related field, or a recent graduate (within one year).
- A current portfolio showcasing your creative work and skills in motion graphics.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud products, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A willingness to be a team player, open to feedback from team members and clients.
Nice to Have
- Experience with animation techniques and storytelling.
- Familiarity with video editing software.
- Knowledge of design principles and trends in motion graphics.
