Mid-Senior Protection & Control Engineer - Remote Opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Senior Protection & Control Engineer to join our dynamic team remotely. In this role, you will leverage your experience in the nuclear and power sectors to lead the delivery of various projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and industry standards. What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and documentation process for Front End Engineering Design (FEED) including Protection Single Line Diagrams and Key Line Diagrams.
  • Complete detailed design deliverables such as Circuit Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, and General Arrangement Diagrams.
  • Interface substation auxiliary systems with Protection & Control Systems effectively.
  • Conduct design calculations including LVAC & DC System Sizing and CT & VT adequacy checks.
  • Support tendering activities with preliminary design documentation and engineering estimates.
  • Work on Fault Current Calculations, Relay Settings, and IED Configuration as required.

Requirements

  • Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with 6-8+ years of experience in Protection & Control Systems design.
  • Hands-on experience in designing protection systems for Busbars, Feeders, and Transformers on 132kV and above systems.
  • Strong understanding of Current & Voltage Transformers, Auto Reclose, and Circuit Breaker Fail arrangements.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive design documentation including Design Basis Reports and Project Design Specifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; experience with Trimble (Amtech) and ETAP/PSCAD is desirable.

Nice to Have

  • Membership in IET and working towards Chartered Engineer accreditation.
  • Experience in client-facing roles and strong communication skills.
