Mid-Senior Distribution Engineer - Relocation Support

About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Senior Distribution Engineer to join our team at TalentAlly. This Distribution Engineer remote position is based in Augusta, GA, and offers relocation support for qualified candidates. You will play a crucial role in managing daily engineering activities, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our distribution systems.

What You'll Do

• Handle day-to-day engineering work activities in the Augusta Distribution Area.
• Design services, estimate costs, and coordinate construction for overhead and underground projects.
• Provide superior customer service and prepare construction schedules to meet service dates.
• Write and execute switching orders to maintain and operate the distribution system.
• Process documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist with customer inquiries regarding voltage complaints and claims.
• Participate in on-call trouble supervision rotation, available after hours for emergencies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer's License (PE) is preferred.
• Previous distribution engineering experience is a plus.
• Strong technical skills and understanding of power systems are essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software systems.
• Knowledge of electrical system operations and construction practices.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Effective communication skills to build relationships with customers and team members.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ARMS, JETS, GIS, and other engineering tools.
• Familiarity with safety practices and compliance regulations.
• Understanding of distribution operating procedures and guidelines.
