Mid-Senior Backend Engineer - FinTech Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mid-Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team at nsave. This Backend Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to work on innovative financial solutions that empower individuals in distressed economies. You will play a crucial role in designing, building, and operating the core systems that power our financial products.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance, secure backend services and infrastructure.
• Own services supporting authentication, transactions, compliance, and banking integrations.
• Ensure systems are low-latency, high-throughput, and resilient under real-world conditions.
• Proactively identify weaknesses in code and infrastructure, delivering improvements to reliability, security, and compliance.
• Champion best practices in testing, observability, deployment, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams to translate user needs into robust technical solutions.

Requirements

• Proficient in TypeScript and NestJS (Node.js).
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres) and performance-sensitive systems.
• Knowledge of AWS (ECS, RDS/Postgres), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems like Kafka.
• Strong understanding of security practices in financial-grade systems.
• Ability to thrive in high-ownership, high-accountability environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the fintech industry.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages.
