Mid Java Developer - Remote Opportunity at Sportradar

The Live Data Services team is the heart of our live data ecosystem, gathering all the events for more than 30 sports and providing them to our clients.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, build, and deploy new applications or enhancements to existing applications as a Mid Java Developer remote.
• Work with other technical staff to understand problems, develop specifications, and resolve them.
• Participate in the constant challenge to create a maintainable, well-designed architecture that stands up to the future.
• Advocate for good development practices within your team.
• Utilize modern development techniques, including TDD (Test Driven Development) and pair programming.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing backend solutions in Java.
• Ability to write clean, well-crafted, and tested code (XP, TDD).
• Familiarity with Spring Framework.
• Agile mindset focused on delivering working software, collaboration, and improvement.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly self-motivated and self-driven.
• Team player, able to work with new teams.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with event streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ).
• Experience in SQL, especially MySQL, but also NoSQL.
• Experience with cloud-based applications and microservices (AWS, Gitlab CI).
