Member of Compliance, Sanctions - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

At Anchorage Digital, we are seeking a Member of Compliance, Sanctions to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of compliance in the digital asset industry, ensuring that our operations align with regulatory standards. You will work closely with the Global Compliance Lead, Sanctions, to develop and implement our Sanctions Oversight Program, making this a unique opportunity to impact the compliance landscape.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the design and rollout of Anchorage Digital’s Sanctions Oversight Program.
• Conduct thorough Sanctions Screening and OFAC Reporting to support business development.
• Manage sanctions-related alerts and collaborate with leadership on system enhancements.
• Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Check reviews on screening alerts.
• Utilize internal and external data for in-depth research on clients and connected parties.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to produce high-quality reports on financial crime assessments.
• Maintain records for all sanctions alerts and investigations.
• Prepare monthly management reports for sanctions metrics.

Requirements

• Experience in BSA/AML transactional reviews and knowledge of sanctions regulations.
• Strong understanding of cryptocurrency regulations and custody operations.
• Expertise in using sanctions screening systems and managing ongoing monitoring alerts.
• Proven ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to mentor and guide team members.
• Familiarity with data analytics and blockchain analytics tools is a plus.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and produce actionable insights.
• Passion for building compliance programs and enhancing existing policies.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a financial institution's wire room.
• Certifications in blockchain analytics (e.g., TRM, Chainalysis).
• Strong curiosity and a fast learner.
