About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Material Program Manager to join our team at Leonardo DRS. This remote opportunity allows you to work closely with program management, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure the successful execution of contracts and projects. You will play a critical role in managing material planning and procurement processes in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with program management, engineering, and supply chain teams to develop and execute procurement strategies.
  • Oversee material demand planning and scheduling to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Manage and direct daily execution of contract requirements, ensuring cost and schedule objectives are met.
  • Lead meetings and support integrated product teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Interface with internal and external customers regarding contract execution and requirements.
  • Participate in bid and proposal activities, ensuring compliance with request for proposal requirements.
  • Monitor and manage supply constraints and report status to senior management.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans for any deviations from budgets or schedules.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in DoD program management or materials management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and electro-mechanical assembly operations.
  • Solid leadership and management skills with experience in the program lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Program Management certification (PMP or DAU) is preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with earned value management and reporting.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
