Marketing Performance & Trading Manager - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are looking for a Marketing Performance & Trading Manager to join our team at The Economist Group. This remote opportunity allows you to drive the day-to-day performance of our acquisition business while collaborating with various teams to optimize marketing strategies. You'll play a crucial role in analyzing performance trends and identifying growth opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Take ownership of the day-to-day monitoring of the acquisition business, ensuring that our media investments align with business objectives.
- Analyze performance across the core media funnel to identify drivers of short-term business value and long-term brand equity.
- Collaborate closely with the media team to optimize channel-level performance and provide data-backed evidence to influence budgets.
- Work cross-functionally with the Media and Finance teams to provide a unified view of performance.
- Translate complex data sets into clear, actionable updates for senior leadership, highlighting wins and providing data-backed solutions for performance gaps.
- Utilize existing measurement frameworks to support media planning and forecasting cycles.
- Partner with Data teams to ensure performance dashboards and reporting tools are accurate and automated.
Requirements
- Experience in marketing analytics, performance trading, or commercial finance, ideally within a high-growth digital or e-commerce environment.
- Exceptional ability to work with large data sets and extract meaningful insights.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and SQL skills are essential.
- A strong understanding of full-funnel media performance and how different channels interact to drive customer acquisition.
- Proven ability to communicate performance trends effectively to stakeholders at various levels.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and a solid understanding of digital marketing metrics (CAC, LTV, ROAS, etc.).
Nice to Have
- Experience with Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) is highly preferred.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to identify problems or opportunities in data.
