Maintenance and Grounds Person - Outdoor Role at Haulfryn

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance and Grounds Person remote to join our team at Holman’s Wood Holiday Park. This role is perfect for hands-on individuals who are passionate about maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. As a Maintenance and Grounds Person remote, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests and owners enjoy a well-maintained, safe, and welcoming environment.

What You'll Do

• Carry out grounds maintenance to the highest standards, including mowing, trimming, hedge cutting, weed spraying, gritting, and general gardening.
• Complete property maintenance tasks, including basic repairs, plumbing, painting, and decorating to keep the park and its facilities in excellent condition.
• Inspect and maintain hot tubs, ensuring they are cleaned, refilled, and chemicals are checked daily.
• Identify and proactively resolve maintenance issues across lodges and communal areas to uphold high presentation standards.
• Work within a team to maintain the park’s appearance and functionality, supporting development projects as needed.
• Follow Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for staff, guests, and owners.

Requirements

• Experience in grounds maintenance, including mowing, hedge cutting, and general landscaping.
• A practical approach to property maintenance, with skills in basic repairs and upkeep.
• A valid full UK driving licence.
• Available to work some weekends and bank holidays.
• Available to be on call when required for emergency call outs and maintenance issues.
• Awareness of Health & Safety regulations and a commitment to working safely.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and proactive attitude.
• Experience with grounds maintenance equipment is beneficial (spraying or tree work qualifications are a plus, but training will be provided).
• Willingness to learn new skills especially related to Hot Tub maintenance.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of horticulture and landscaping.
• Basic plumbing or electrical skills.
