Logistics Coordinator - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator remote to join our team at LGH. Founded in 1990, LGH is a leader in the hoisting and rigging equipment rental industry, providing essential equipment for various installations, maintenance, and repairs. As a Logistics Coordinator remote, you will play a crucial role in coordinating freight loads for all outbound and inbound shipments across LGH locations nationwide, focusing on process efficiency and cost reduction.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate freight loads for outbound and inbound shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Develop maximum sales potential in your assigned territory through competitive sales techniques and in-depth knowledge of LGH's products and services.
• Book and oversee the full freight process, including customer transfers, internal transfers, and vendor transfers using various freight methods.
• Create and verify purchase orders for each shipment, ensuring accuracy in PO numbers on freight invoices.
• Provide daily confirmations of all incoming and outgoing shipments to customers, rental representatives, and freight suppliers.
• Utilize the best freight methods to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
• Monitor the LGH Returns Report and take timely actions as per company procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the logistics team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous logistics experience is strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Composure under pressure, maintaining professionalism in high-stress situations.

Nice to Have

• Experience with logistics software or systems.
• Knowledge of freight methods and cost-saving strategies.
• Familiarity with inventory management.
