Local Production Magician - Remote Role for Devcon 8
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Local Production Magician to join our team remotely for the upcoming Devcon 8. This role is crucial for ensuring the success of our event, which will take place from November 3-6, 2026, in India. As a Local Production Magician, you will leverage your local knowledge and event production experience to help create an unforgettable experience for attendees. You will be responsible for managing various aspects of event production, including vendor oversight, logistics, and communication, all while embodying the values of Ethereum.
What You'll Do
- Assist in overseeing and managing vendors such as AV, catering, security, and design.
- Facilitate collaboration between vendors and ensure smooth communication.
- Organize logistics and manage volunteer coordination for the event.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with speakers and partners.
- Utilize project management tools like Notion and Google Docs to track progress and communicate effectively.
Requirements
- Experience in organizing medium to large events with at least 1000 attendees.
- Familiarity with local vendors and event-related pricing in Mumbai or India.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Marathi, Hindi, or Gujarati is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, leading up to and during the event.
Nice to Have
- Experience with event production in the JIO Centre.
- Prior experience in managing event vendors.
- Knowledge of benchmarking and market analysis for event planning.
