About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Korean to German Patent Translator - Remote to join our team at Welocalize. As a Korean to German Patent Translator, you will be responsible for translating patent-related content from Korean into German, ensuring accuracy and clarity in your translations.

What You'll Do

  • Translate patent documents from Korean to German with a focus on technical accuracy.

  • Utilize CAT tools such as Trados and XTM to enhance translation efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively in English with project managers and clients.
  • Work on volumes estimated at 2,000-5,000 words per project.
  • Maintain the original meaning while ensuring readability and style adequacy.
  • Provide immediate availability for projects, starting as soon as possible.
  • Join a global network of linguistic resources, collaborating with other professionals in the field.

Requirements

  • Native-level fluency in German is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in patent translation and review.
  • Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience in translating and proofreading patents.
  • Proficiency in English communication is essential.
  • Ability to convey original meaning in a readable manner.
  • Familiarity with CAT tools, specifically Trados and XTM.
