Junior Software Engineer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We're hiring a Junior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at OptiSigns. As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative environment where you can learn and grow your skills in a real production setting.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop applications from concept to production, focusing on both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Maintain and enhance front-end components using modern JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks such as React.js or Angular.
- Implement server-side logic and APIs using Node.js, Express.js, Nest.js, or other relevant technologies.
- Optimize database schemas and queries using relational and/or NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize features.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for their adoption when appropriate.
Requirements
- Experience in full-stack web development, with a strong focus on both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React.js and AngularJS.
- Experience with back-end technologies including Node.js, Express.js, and Nest.js.
- Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven track record of delivering scalable and reliable solutions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
