Junior Project Manager - Biogas Industry

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Project Manager in the Biogas sector to join our team at Kanadevia Inova. In this role, you will support the successful planning, management, and execution of our challenging projects. As a Junior Project Manager, you will take on key coordination and management tasks, ensuring that our projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This Junior Project Manager role offers a unique opportunity to work in the renewable energy sector, specifically focusing on biogas and biomethane plants.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in the overall project planning and continuously develop project schedules.
  • Support senior project managers in technical, commercial, and organizational matters, including risk management.
  • Prepare and document meeting outcomes in both German and English.
  • Participate in project controlling, create project reports, and analyze variance comparisons.
  • Independently manage sub-projects after appropriate training, including leading interdisciplinary project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management system requirements and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines.
  • Develop new concepts considering country-specific requirements and regulatory frameworks.
  • Lead projects in accordance with internal business processes, contractual agreements with clients and suppliers, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • A completed degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field such as mechanical engineering, production technology, or electrical engineering.
  • Ideally, you have initial professional experience in project management, preferably in plant construction or renewable energy.
  • A strong interest in the biogas industry is a plus.
  • Technical understanding of systems in environmental technology, construction, waste management, or renewable energy.
  • International or intercultural experience is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, quick comprehension, and motivation to sustainably improve processes.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ideally in SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Fluent in German and English (minimum C1 level); additional French skills are welcome.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the biogas sector.
  • Knowledge of project management software.
  • Familiarity with international project standards.
