IT System Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are currently seeking an IT System Engineer to join our team at DL Remote. This is a fantastic opportunity for an IT System Engineer who is passionate about managing complex IT infrastructures and enjoys working in a remote environment. As an IT System Engineer, you will take on technical responsibility for the reliable commissioning of software and communication components in customer projects.

What You'll Do

• Take technical responsibility for the successful commissioning and integration of communication systems in customer projects.
• Independently install and integrate complex server landscapes, including in virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Proxmox).
• Implement and regularly maintain system monitoring to ensure smooth operations.
• Create comprehensive documentation of technical architectures and system configurations.
• Plan and conduct system and integration tests.
• Handle technical inquiries in 2nd and 3rd level support.
• Collaborate with internal development and product management teams as well as external partners.
• Actively contribute to the further development of the system landscape and the tools used.
• Support the creation of technical concepts and proposals.
• Design and conduct workshops and training sessions for clients.

Requirements

• A completed education or degree in the IT field.
• Solid experience with virtualization technologies and/or Windows and/or Linux servers.
• Good knowledge in telecommunications technology (especially VoIP, switches).
• Fluent German (C1 level) and basic English skills.
• Willingness to travel for customer projects (approximately 20% of working time – otherwise fully remote).

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of network security practices.
• Familiarity with scripting languages for automation.
