About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Information Assurance Analyst - Remote to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the security and compliance of our information systems. As an Information Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring security measures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to federal standards and frameworks such as NIST SP 800-53 and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

What You'll Do

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats to information systems.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures in compliance with federal regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure security measures are integrated into system designs and operations.
  • Prepare and maintain security documentation, including assessment and authorization packages.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on security-related issues to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Monitor and report on compliance with security policies and procedures, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and conduct training sessions on security awareness for staff.
  • Utilize tools such as Azure PaaS and SQL for data analysis and reporting related to security metrics.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as an Information Assurance Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, particularly NIST SP 800-53 and RMF.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience with security documentation and compliance processes.
  • Familiarity with data engineering concepts, including ETL processes and data governance.
  • Excellent technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and endpoint management solutions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI/ML technologies in the context of cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems and facilities analysis.
  • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
