Industrial Designer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

SumUp is looking for an Industrial Designer to join our Hardware team in Berlin and help design the physical products used by millions of small businesses around the world. This Industrial Designer remote position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with product managers, electronics engineers, and manufacturing partners to bring new devices to life and continuously improve existing products across our hardware portfolio.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop physical products or hardware devices that meet user needs and business goals.
• Utilize strong CAD skills, preferably in SolidWorks, to create detailed models and prototypes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure product feasibility and manufacturability.
• Engage in the product development process from concept to production.
• Work with engineering teams to refine designs and address manufacturing challenges.

Requirements

• Experience designing physical products or hardware devices.
• Strong CAD skills, with proficiency in SolidWorks being preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Interest in manufacturing processes and product development.
• Hands-on experience bringing physical products to life.

Nice to Have

• Experience with embedded systems and mobile apps.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Passion for innovation and design thinking.
