About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Project Manager remote to join our team at Physics World. In this role, you will lead various HR projects that drive operational improvements and enhance our human resources business practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to ensure the successful execution of projects that align with our organizational goals.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage HR projects of varying sizes, ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Research and plan proposed projects, identifying scope, scale, and necessary resources.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Analyze and evaluate administrative operations, developing recommendations for new systems and procedures.
  • Utilize established project management practices and tools to enhance project outcomes.
  • Perform risk management and develop strategies to mitigate potential project risks.
  • Mentor team members on project management methodologies and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Experience leading small to large-scale projects in HR or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Proven ability to build and lead effective multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE L-level security clearance.

Nice to Have

  • Professional project management (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of HRMS applications and their functional capabilities.
