High School Math Teacher - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Destiny Christian Academy invites applications for our High School Math Teacher position. This role offers a unique opportunity to teach mathematics remotely while enhancing the mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical development of students. As a High School Math Teacher, you will facilitate student learning, manage grading, and create engaging lesson plans that inspire students to excel in mathematics.

What You'll Do

• Facilitate student learning through innovative teaching methods and mentorship.
• Manage grading and maintain an organized gradebook to track student progress.
• Plan, teach, and evaluate lessons and student activities to ensure effective learning outcomes.
• Conduct parent conferences and report card evaluations as required.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development trainings.
• Monitor student behavior and discipline as necessary to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including substitute teaching when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized virtual classroom environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred, particularly in a remote setting.
• Commitment to the Christian mission of Destiny Christian Academy.
• A state teaching credential is strongly recommended; an ACSI teaching credential is required if the state credential is not valid.
• Willingness to complete ACSI credential during employment if not already completed.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Valid driver’s license and appropriate auto insurance as required by law.
