Head of Creative, Design and Experience - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

As the Head of Creative, Design and Experience, you will lead a talented in-house studio that serves both Marketing and Product teams, significantly impacting the company’s design maturity and commercial outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will set the creative direction and ensure the delivery of high-quality design across all touchpoints. This role is pivotal in enhancing the user experience and brand identity in a regulated fintech environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the creative direction for Marketing and Product deliverables, ensuring high standards and consistency across all formats.
  • Manage a diverse team of designers, motion designers, and copywriters, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Establish and maintain studio processes including intake, prioritization, and quality assurance to ensure predictable delivery across time zones.
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to translate brand positioning into a usable creative system, ensuring brand identity consistency.
  • Act as a central point for customer insights, embedding research-led design practices into the creative process.
  • Oversee studio operations, maintaining a clean audit trail for approvals and published assets.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to support UX/UI delivery and design system adoption.
  • Manage external agencies and freelancers to ensure all work meets the same high standards as internal projects.

Requirements

  • Significant experience leading an in-house studio or creative function that serves both marketing and product teams.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing performance marketing assets and digital experience deliverables.
  • Proven experience in building and running studio processes, ensuring predictable delivery cadence.
  • Experience leading and coaching mixed skill sets, including design, motion, and product design.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills with senior leaders across Marketing and Product.
  • Experience managing remote teams across multiple time zones.
  • Comfort operating in regulated environments with established approval workflows.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in leading brand positioning and rebranding initiatives.
  • Familiarity with experimentation workflows and design systems.
  • Experience in financial services or similarly regulated industries.
