Game Development Officer - Remote Position in Lajamanu

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Game Development Officer - Remote to join our team in Lajamanu. In this role, you will support the delivery of AFL programs in the community, helping to grow the game and engage with youth. As a Game Development Officer - Remote, you will work closely with the Remote Development Manager to implement various AFL initiatives and competitions.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in delivering Youth and School AFL competitions and Carnivals in Lajamanu and surrounding areas.
  • Support the Remote Development Manager in executing the Kiwinyi League and Carnivals.
  • Facilitate AFL participation programs, including Auskick, Superkick, NINES, and school programs.
  • Engage with local men’s and women’s teams to prepare for the BRFL.
  • Conduct football promotions and record basic data.
  • Encourage youth participation in talent programs.
  • Attend and support Carnivals outside of Lajamanu as needed.
  • Assist the local AFL Club in Lajamanu.

Requirements

  • Must have a fun and enthusiastic nature with a passion for working with youth.
  • Demonstrated reliability and dedication to work.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with a diverse range of people.
  • Possess an Ochre Card (Working With Children Check) or be willing to obtain one.
  • Must reside in the Lajamanu Community.
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are encouraged to apply.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in sports management or community engagement.
  • Knowledge of Australian Rules Football.
  • Previous involvement in youth programs or sports coaching.
