Fullstack Engineer (Mobile) - Remote Opportunity at Bitso

About the Role

We're hiring a Fullstack Engineer (Mobile) to join our innovative team at Bitso. This remote position allows you to work autonomously while contributing to the development of cutting-edge mobile applications that make cryptocurrency accessible and useful for everyone.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and deploy new features for our flagship React Native mobile application, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Backend Engineers to translate business requirements into technical mobile specifications.
• Implement deep linking, notification strategies, and performance improvements to enhance the user journey within the app.
• Own the mobile development lifecycle, including unit and end-to-end testing, code review, and production monitoring.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in React Native development, championing mobile engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with at least 3 years focused on professional React Native development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React's component-based architecture.
• Experience with mobile state management tools like Redux Toolkit and data fetching libraries.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience leading mobile application migrations from native to React Native.
• Familiarity with mobile-specific internationalization tools and growth/marketing tools.
• Previous experience in fintech, crypto/blockchain, or high-growth technology companies.
