Fractional Legal Counsel - Remote Role in Digital Healthcare

We are looking for a Fractional Legal Counsel - Remote to join our innovative team at HelloBetter. As a leader in digital healthcare, HelloBetter is dedicated to improving mental health through evidence-based digital solutions. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential legal support in a rapidly growing and highly regulated market.

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive legal advice to management and staff, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate all company contracts in both German and English.
• Handle legal tasks related to medical, competition, social security, and general civil law.
• Communicate effectively with health insurance companies and regulatory authorities.
• Work part-time (2-3 days per week) in a remote-first culture with optional office use in Berlin and Hamburg.

Requirements

• Fully qualified lawyer (2nd State Exam) with at least 2-3 years of professional experience.
• Relevant experience in a company, law firm, or as interim legal counsel.
• Technical affinity, including familiarity with AI applications in the legal field.
• Strong negotiation skills in both German and English.
• Independent, structured, and careful work style with a high level of responsibility.
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented working style, embodying a startup mentality.
• Excellent communication skills for advising C-level executives.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Health Law is a plus.
