Financial Control Officer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Control Officer to join our dynamic team at Natixis in Portugal. This remote Financial Control Officer position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the transformation of traditional banking through innovative solutions. As part of our Finance Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the consistency and reliability of financial information and data quality control.

What You'll Do

• Conduct quarterly closing monitoring controls and ad hoc assignments related to regulatory and prudential information.
• Collaborate with 1st and 2nd level control teams in Paris and Porto to evaluate Natixis Control framework.
• Prepare quarterly reporting on Solvency, Liquidity, and accounting issues (COREP, FINREP).
• Ensure compliance with additional requirements under Pillar II (ICAAP) and Pillar III (Market discipline and transparency) Basel directives.
• Supervise junior team members and contribute to the improvement of the control framework through process automation.
• Communicate potential issues to the team leader effectively.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Accounting, Audit, or equivalent with bank accounting knowledge.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Audit and advanced knowledge in Accounting and Control environments.
• Proficient in Data management, IFRS9, and Banking Regulation.
• Experience with Power BI and MS Office.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.
