Facilities Technician - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Technician to join our dynamic team at Teleflex. This Facilities Technician remote role will allow you to contribute to improving the health and quality of people’s lives through our innovative medical technologies.
What You'll Do
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to unplanned downtime or breakdowns across all facility equipment.
- Assist engineers in supervising and monitoring all facility system operations, including electrical systems, HVAC, and fire fighting equipment.
- Carry out performance monitoring and implement preventive maintenance programs for all facility equipment.
- Interface with other departments, contractors, and vendors in the day-to-day operation of the department.
- Follow OSHA, DOE, BOMBA regulations, and company safety practices on all work assignments.
- Assist contractors with contract servicing for facility systems or equipment.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings.
- Perform any other relevant responsibilities as assigned by your superior.
Requirements
- Certificate of competency from an accredited educational body or diploma qualification in a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the facilities field.
- Knowledge in facility equipment operation and maintenance, including air compressors, HVAC systems, ventilation, chillers, and fire fighting systems.
- Ability to communicate and understand English.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a challenging environment.
