About the Role

We are seeking an Export Quality Advisor to join our team at Mercedes-Benz Group. This remote position is crucial in managing the quality of export operations for vehicles produced in the USA. You will support the Manager of Export Operations in ensuring that all processes meet Mercedes-Benz quality standards, from the moment vehicles are released to rail until they are exported outside the USA. Your expertise will play a vital role in achieving operational efficiency and quality assurance in our export operations.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee MBUSA/MBUSI vehicle inspection processes to ensure adherence to Mercedes-Benz quality standards.
  • Manage reporting and documentation to track inspection findings and provide actionable feedback to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct vehicle and process audits throughout export operations using assigned manpower resources.
  • Analyze feedback from transportation colleagues and consolidate insights into clear, professional reports for effective communication.
  • Oversee repair quality and ensure all work meets Mercedes-Benz standards.
  • Coordinate parts ordering ensuring order accuracy and proper disposition.
  • Document export operational processes to meet ISO and compliance standards.
  • Actively influence MBUSA associates to build an ongoing culture of leadership innovation and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in automotive supply chain management.
  • Proficient knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures, particularly in finished vehicle logistics.
  • Strong analytical skills to collect data, identify trends, and establish facts.
  • Ability to integrate new technology into current and future business applications.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with quality control processes in automotive environments.
  • Knowledge of ISO compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with electric vehicle (EV) quality management.
