Europe Accounting & HR Generalist - Hybrid Role
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Europe Accounting & HR Generalist remote to support our operations in our European offices. This hybrid role combines core accounting responsibilities with HR generalist duties, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, and compliance with local labor laws. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing hands-on HR support across both countries, acting as a local point of contact for employees and external partners.
What You'll Do
- Manage the German Office Workday procure-to-pay process as part of your Europe Accounting & HR Generalist remote responsibilities.
- Reconcile expense claims and ensure proper documentation for tax and audit purposes.
- Lead the credit control team and processes for the office billings.
- Oversee and coordinate the German Office car fleet and the communication of lease contracts.
- Drive process optimization and efficiency improvements within the accounting department.
- Maintain compliance with German tax, VAT, and financial regulations.
- Act as a business partner to other departments, providing financial insights and support.
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR matters in Europe.
Requirements
- Education background preferably as a German certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter), Bachelor's degree in Accounting, HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a dual HR/Finance role, ideally supporting Germany, France, and the UK.
- Strong understanding of European employment laws, payroll, and German accounting standards.
- Hands-on experience with recruitment in European markets.
- Fluent in English and German.
Nice to Have
- Experience with HRIS and accounting tools (e.g., ADP, Jobvite, and Workday).
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
