About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Safety Specialist to join our team remotely. As an Environmental Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety standards and sustainability efforts within our organization. What You'll Do

• Receive and sort hazardous materials, ensuring proper processing, labeling, and storage.
• Maintain logs on incoming and outgoing hazardous waste, adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist in researching sustainability efforts and conducting inspections as assigned.
• Monitor supply levels and notify supervisors when supplies are low.
• Comply with all environmental regulations and company policies.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse employees to prevent injuries and property damage.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on safety policies.
• Perform additional duties as required to support department operations.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in English with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in environmental science or hazardous material handling is preferred.
• Valid driver's license is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and compliance regulations.
