About the Role

Join us as an Engineering Intern (AI Ethics) - Remote at Sony AI America, where you will be part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to the responsible development of agentic AI. What You'll Do

  • Support engineering infrastructure for agentic AI systems, enhancing their capabilities.
  • Improve agent infrastructure for LLM evaluations, ensuring high-quality assessments.
  • Develop tools to assess AI-related risks, contributing to safer AI implementations.
  • Conduct evaluations of LLMs and AI agents, providing valuable insights into their performance.
  • Propose and implement innovative ideas independently, showcasing your creativity and initiative.
  • Collaborate with researchers and engineers in a diverse team, gaining hands-on experience in AI ethics.

Requirements

  • Pursuing or completed a Master's in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong background in software engineering, with proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience with agentic AI is preferred, demonstrating your understanding of the field.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning fundamentals to contribute effectively.
  • Knowledge of LLM tooling and frameworks, as well as NLP, task automation, or cloud computing is a plus.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, enabling you to tackle complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, facilitating collaboration within the team.
