Director, Strategic People Partner - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Director, Strategic People Partner to join our dynamic team at Flex, a leading FinTech company focused on transforming the rent payment experience. This Director, Strategic People Partner remote position will play a crucial role in supporting our Engineering and Product teams, ensuring that we deliver exceptional support to our employees and leaders while fostering a high-performing workforce.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a strategic partner to leaders within the Engineering and Product (R&D) teams, aligning people initiatives with key business objectives.
- Collaborate with other People team members to lead workforce planning, talent development, and organizational design for your departments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, identifying trends and translating them into actionable strategies.
- Improve engagement through proactive outreach, driving initiatives to enhance employee experience.
- Support initiatives around performance management, compensation reviews, benefits optimization, and learning & development programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Analyze and interpret people data to provide recommendations for improvement within the department.
- Support Talent Acquisition by providing guidance on job leveling, compensation strategies, and onboarding best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years as a strategic business partner.
- Experience in a scaling start-up environment, particularly supporting fast-paced technical teams.
- Proven ability to think strategically and drive large-scale, cross-functional improvements.
- Expert project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-priority initiatives.
- Skilled in analyzing people data and metrics, leveraging Excel/Google Sheets for strategic reporting.

- Familiarity with performance management systems.
- Strong presentation skills for both virtual and in-person settings.
