Director of Strategic Grant Finance - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Strategic Grant Finance - Remote to join our dedicated team at Partners for Rural Impact (PRI). This role is vital in ensuring that all children in rural America achieve success, regardless of their background or circumstances. With over 25 years of experience in Appalachia, PRI focuses on creating opportunities for students in rural areas through strategic financial leadership and effective management of resources. As the Director of Strategic Grant Finance, you will play a crucial role in enhancing educational outcomes and fostering long-term sustainability.

What You'll Do

• Facilitate grant services systems, infrastructure, and cross-functional processes that support effective grant acquisition, compliance, and organizational performance.
• Support pre-award grant activities and proposal coordination.
• Manage grant-related systems and infrastructure.
• Maintain organizational registrations for funding opportunities.
• Support technical development of grant proposals.
• Develop compliant proposal budgets and conduct financial analysis.
• Serve as a liaison for audits and year-end close activities.
• Provide grant-related guidance to various teams.
• Design and deliver trainings for staff.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts in finance operations.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks across grants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or a related field required.
• At least 7 years of experience in grants management.
• 3+ years of supervising staff.
• Knowledge of funding mechanisms and compliance.
• Demonstrated project management experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, preferably with AI tools.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of federal grant procedures.
• Strong organization and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with diverse constituencies.

• Experience with grant writing and compliance.
• Familiarity with nonprofit financial management software.
• Knowledge of federal and state funding sources.
