About the Role

We are seeking a Data Analyst/Engineer - Power Systems (Remote) to join our international team at TSCNET Services GmbH. This role is pivotal in securing the electricity supply for Europe, where you will support and deliver new data analyses in the OSIsoft PI system. As a Data Analyst/Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of professionals from over 35 countries, contributing to innovative solutions for a secure energy supply.

What You'll Do

  • Support and deliver new data analyses in the OSIsoft PI system based on defined use cases for reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Build and operate Python scripts and workflows for data ingestion from various sources.
  • Continuously document data management-related solutions and processes.
  • Realize new visualization dashboards and maintain existing ones.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency by applying automated monitoring solutions.
  • Maintain and develop the OSIsoft PI system’s database structure.
  • Support and deliver new ETL/ELT pipelines within a modern data architecture.
  • Respond to ad-hoc analyses requests and reported issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or Applied Mathematics.
  • 2 years of experience or specific education in a Data Analyst or Data Engineering role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Experience in modularizing Python scripts, including creating functions, modules, and packages.
  • Basic understanding of modern database concepts and knowledge of DBT, Airflow, and PySpark.
  • Knowledge of the OSIsoft PI system is an advantage.
  • Strong willingness to learn and good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Experience with handling and visualizing large datasets.
  • Basic knowledge of power systems and related data formats.
