Craft Attendant Fitter - Electrical Installation Remote
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Craft Attendant Fitter to join our team at UK Power Networks. This position is vital for assisting in construction, commissioning, and maintenance activities on Grid and Primary Substations. As a Craft Attendant Fitter, you will ensure that safe working practices are observed, contributing to the reliability and safety of our electrical infrastructure. What You'll Do
- Assist Craftsperson, Supervisor, and Engineers in the installation, maintenance, and testing of all plant, apparatus, and cables associated with the Grid, Primary, and Distribution network.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and UK Power Networks Safe Working Practices.
- Participate in fault location and repair of all plant and apparatus.
- Utilize appropriate IT equipment for reporting and documentation.
- Undertake emergency storm roles as needed in accordance with network standards.
Requirements
- Experience in Electrical Installation works or as an Electrical Improver.
- EAL Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
- CSCS/ECS Installation Electrical Card/EUSR SHEA Power or equivalent.
- Must possess a clean driving license; HGV License is preferable but not essential.
Nice to Have
- City and Guilds 2339 – Level 2 Certificate in Electrical Power Engineering.
- City and Guilds 2365 – Level 2 Certificate in Electrotechnical Craft or equivalent.
- City and Guilds 2382 – Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition).
- Experience in working at heights and outside environments.
