Community Advocate (Bilingual) - Remote Position

About the Role

Verda Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Community Advocate (Bilingual) to join our team remotely. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between our organization and the senior community in Phoenix, ensuring they have access to essential health and wellness services. As a Community Advocate, you will be instrumental in fostering trust and building meaningful connections, ultimately helping seniors lead healthier lives.

What You'll Do

• Engage in community outreach to establish strong relationships with local organizations and influencers.
• Serve as an ambassador for Verda Healthcare, raising awareness about our services and benefits.
• Plan and coordinate local events to educate Medicare-eligible beneficiaries about Verda Healthcare’s offerings.
• Deliver clear and engaging presentations to seniors regarding benefits and enrollment processes.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards while conducting outreach activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to strengthen Verda Healthcare’s community presence.
• Participate actively in community organizations to stay connected with key stakeholders.
• Support brokers, members, and prospective members as needed to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in community outreach, senior services, or healthcare marketing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse populations effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Medicare options and the challenges faced by seniors in accessing healthcare.
• High school diploma required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Bilingual in English and either Vietnamese or Chinese.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Medicare beneficiaries.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations, such as HIPAA.
• Health Insurance license.
