Commercial Account Executive - Remote Sales Role
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly motivated Commercial Account Executive - Remote to join our dynamic sales team at Chainguard. In this role, you will leverage your strong market knowledge to build relationships with key decision-makers and evangelize the importance of secure and reliable software. As a Commercial Account Executive - Remote, you will be instrumental in conveying the immense value and expertise that Chainguard’s solutions offer to our customers and prospects.
What You'll Do
- Define and execute sales plans for your assigned territory, focusing on driving growth and customer satisfaction.
- Convey value propositions and product differentiators to prospects and customers effectively.
- Forecast, meet, and exceed sales quotas through a combination of inbound and outbound leads.
- Develop and manage a robust leads funnel while tracking opportunities through CRM and other supporting tools.
- Collaborate on and improve all aspects of the sales cycle, including product, support, and sales engineering.
- Understand the competitive market landscape, being familiar with competing companies and their offerings.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in selling SaaS/Security solutions is required.
- Business-level proficiency in German (C1 or higher) is mandatory.
- Domain experience with compute platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps tooling is strongly recommended.
- A proven track record of consistently overachieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong ability to articulate complex concepts.
- Must be willing to travel to clients to support sales relationships as needed.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong work ethic and resourcefulness.
Nice to Have
- Experience in SaaS or developer tools sales.
- Startup experience is a plus.
- A strong sales aptitude and fundamental understanding of the sales process.
- Ability to thrive in an agile environment with an evolving set of solutions.
