About the Role

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a talented Cloud ETL Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time Cloud ETL Engineer remote position where you will have the opportunity to work from anywhere in the United States. As a Cloud ETL Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes that support our cloud-based data solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into cloud data warehouses.
  • Collaborate with data architects and data analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
  • Optimize ETL workflows for performance and scalability in a cloud environment.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure timely data delivery.
  • Document ETL processes and maintain technical specifications.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Cloud ETL Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in ETL tools and technologies, such as Apache NiFi, Talend, or AWS Glue.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with SQL and data modeling.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with Python or Java for data processing.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
