About the Role

What You'll Do

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and general cleaning duties.
• Sanitize restrooms, classrooms, offices, and shared spaces to ensure hygiene and safety.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain high standards.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and chemicals while adhering to safety protocols.
• Report hazards, maintenance issues, and supply needs to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist with deep cleans, programmed works, and special tasks as required.

Requirements

• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
• Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and WHS requirements.
• Experience using cleaning equipment and chemicals effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to hygiene.
• Ability to follow schedules and meet service standards.
• Effective communication and reporting skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a similar role within educational or public service environments.
• First aid certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
