About the Role

What You'll Do
- Operate broadcast cameras and lighting equipment to capture high-quality footage for news segments.
- Edit video content to create engaging stories that resonate with our audience.
- Collaborate with the news team to ensure smooth live broadcasts and effective communication during shoots.
- Utilize liveU and Dejero Streaming units for live cross procedures.
- Work under tight deadlines and adapt to the fast-paced demands of the news industry.
- Engage with peers and supervisors to enhance the quality of production.
- Travel as needed for news assignments, both domestically and internationally.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule, including weekends and weekdays as part of a roster cycle.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a Camera Operator/Editor in a news or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of editing principles and video composition.
- Ability to communicate effectively and direct shoots when necessary.
- Proficient in problem-solving and navigating challenges in a fast-paced setting.
- Current full Queensland driver’s license.
- Motivated self-starter with a flexible approach to work patterns.
