About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Healthcare Technician to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Behavioral Healthcare Technician (BHT) I, you will provide direct care and supportive services to patients in a behavioral health setting, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. This role is vital in fostering positive behavioral and emotional outcomes for patients receiving treatment.

What You'll Do

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide personal care as needed.
  • Monitor patient well-being and support treatment planning under the supervision of clinical leadership.
  • Administer medications and treatments following physician prescriptions and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with doctors, psychologists, and rehabilitation therapists to enhance patient care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to communicate patient progress and document observations.
  • Ensure a clean and sanitized environment, conducting safety checks regularly.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical expertise.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage client care effectively.
  • Familiarity with equity and diversity initiatives.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass the Department of Justice (DOJ) Background Clearance.
  • Proficiency in word processing and database applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have

  • Medical Assisting certification or Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
  • Two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in behavioral health.
  • Proficient communication skills in English.
